Paleo Spicy Basil Chicken (Sibo Friendly, Low Fodmap, Gluten Free)
I needed a quick weeknight recipe to throw together and this Spicy Basil Chicken did the trick! It was super quick and simple to make, it tasted scrumptious too. I served this dish with jasmine rice for a healthy and delicious meal. I added spaghetti squash for the bottom of mine. Super yum. The best part of the dish was the fresh basil I added. My kids and husband loved and approved!
Living Low Fodmap with SIBO (Small Intestinal Overgrowth)
Once I started to put the physical pieces together—the outward bloating with the inward distress—I decided to see a functional medicine doctor for candida, because at the time, I hadn’t heard of SIBO. The diagnosis I received was, in fact, SIBO: small intestine bacterial overgrowth.
My Review of Beautycounter's Think Big Mascara
We had two other versions of the mascara, prior to the Think Big Mascara launching and to be honest, I never spoke about our old version, especially here on the blog, because frankly I didn’t love it, and it just missed the mark for me. The mascara, I absolutely LOVE!

The Only Exfoliating Mask You'll Ever Need!
This mask is suitable for most skin types. Due to the acid content in the formula, this mask may be too strong for some with sensitive skin. If you have sensitive skin, it is recommended to do a patch test on the back of your neck and waiting 24 hours before full-face application. Stop use if any irritation occurs.
How Often Should I Clean Makeup Brushes?
How I wash my Brushes:
This is so important to note, when we use our brushes and/or beauty blender, they can become FULL of bacteria from your skin, makeup bag, house and air. What happens, is it builds up over time as some bacteria is actually healthy for us! Then what happens is you stick that stuff on your face and then back on your makeup and then back to your face. That’s an icky cycle.
InstaPot Chicken Bacon Pot Pie Stew
Everyone in my house LOVED this stew! Michael, my husband, thought it tasted like a yummy chicken pot pie but without the crust? Ha! It’s so yummy and when paired with either mashed butternut squash and/or mashed potatoes, you seriously can’t go wrong! You could also pair it with a salad and you are good to go!

What to Pack?
Whether you are planning a multi-week vacation or just a quick weekend getaway, it can be stressful and overwhelming when trying to figure out what to pack. Are you an over packer? Yup, I know, I’ve earned this title many times. Often people over pack because they just do not know how to edit or feel too overwhelmed and unsure of what they’ll need over multiple days away from home.
Easy Homemade Chicken Vegetable Soup
This vegetable soup is healthy and so easy to make. It tastes absolutely fantastic, and the flavor is incredible. Use veggies that are in season if something else resonates with you.
Why Beautycounter? Why not other clean beauty companies?
As consumers have become increasingly aware of the health implications of harmful chemicals and toxicants, companies are listening and creating more “clean” options. In fact, in 2020 clean beauty sales increased while the conventional beauty market took a hit.
Easiest Oatmeal Bread
The combination of uncooked rolled oats and oat milk in the batter helps develop this incredible flavor and texture. Natural sweetness comes from the bananas, so no sugar is needed! I absolutely love the flavor and smothered it with peanut butter after I toasted it a bit and it was so good!
Healthy Thai Chicken Soup
This time of year, happiness comes from hearty bowls of winter soups and stews. Piping hot, with a rich home-style flavor, if the soup + stew combination doesn’t warm your heart, then I don’t know what will.
