Who Wants to Get Ready with Me?!
Are you ready to amp up your self-care?
Are you ready to lose the toxic ingredients?
Are you ready to help your body and reduce your inflammation and toxic load?
Well then, you are in the right place! Let’s get Clean Beauty Ready together today!
It’s been a few days, welllll maybe a little over a week where I have put any make-up on. I promise it’ll be fun and some dancing may be included!
Up until I had lost my health in 2016, my make-up bag was packed full of conventional foundations, lip glosses, eye shadows, blushes, and mascaras. It’s crazy to think back that even though I knew I was slathering parabens and phthalates on my skin, both of which interfere with hormone regulation, function and have been linked to reproductive abnormalities, I decided it was time to invest in finding all new safer for me personal care products. Up until trying Beautycounter I had tried many other brands that simply didn’t perform. I would get REALLY frustrated with spending money on products where the consistency was off, or the smell was funky, or they simply just didn’t perform, but then my luck changed! I remember during my research seeing a post and report, which showed the level of parabens and phthalates in the body skyrocketed after just three days of using conventional beauty products. After doing my own research, I found that only 38 chemicals have ever been regulated by the FDA for use in cosmetics. And to top that off, no safety tests are required before beauty products hit store shelves. Being so ill at the time, this hit me pretty hard. I knew how important it was to eat nourishing, nutrient-dense food, exercise regularly, and reduce overall exposure to synthetic chemicals, but how did I not know this? I did so much research and experimentation and finally swapped out all of my conventional cosmetic products for safer options that are comparable to luxurious brands. GO ME! All the products come from the same company, Beautycounter, which has incredibly high and strict standards for what they put in their products. I absolutely love the company and what they stand for. The bonus is that everything I have to tried I have loved as well.
So let’s get started with the first product I used within the video:
