Beautycounter's Brilliant Eye Brow Gel Review
A few years ago, I had my eyebrows microbladed. While I loved the look, after time they did fade some, which then lead me to another touch up, but what I found with the mircoblading is, my hair on top of the semi-permanent tattoo was still light. This is where the Brilliant Brow Gel came in so handy to help fix the lightness of my hair on top of the mircobladed brows.
While I had a well-founded skincare routine for years, I was the girl that plucked her eyebrows until I had barely any left! Back in the 90’s it was the thing to do! The thinner the eyebrow, the better! Little did I know that hair would most likely not grow back, so I started using this product here to help hair grow back over time as well. I’m enjoying this natural and easy look with a simple Sheer Lip Conditioner, my favorite mascara (blog post here why), and I’m ready for my day, with awesome brows to boot!
The Brow Gel comes in two formulas, invisible and tinted. I have used both and love them equally.
The invisible brow gel is flake-proof, foolproof, so easy to use, and leaves your eyebrows soft to the touch with a bit of stay power, which I love.
The tinted brow gel is also flake-proof and foolproof, and buildable, so it fully coats your eyebrows and gives the appearance of fuller eyebrows or like what I was looking for was something to help “tint” my light eyebrow hair after microblading. The tinted brow gel comes in 4 shades: Light, Medium, Dark, and Soft Black.
Why should I use an eyebrow product?
The right brow shape can help frame your eye, balance the face, which helps to complement your other features, and make you look more polished. I have found that I have more of a lifted look all over when I add dimension with color to my eyebrows. The wand delivers the perfect amount of product to fill in sparse spots, so they look fuller.

How to use the Brilliant Brow Gel
This is my go-to routine prior to applying any makeup. It’s important to have fresh, clean and hydrated skin, so your canvas is primed to hold the makeup beautifully.
Apply the brush directly to your brows and comb the product through, following the natural shape and curve of your eyebrow. The brows will set where you place them, and the gel will fill in any sparse spots if you have them. If you want to create a fuller look, the Brilliant Brow Gel is buildable, so just apply additional coats if you feel you need.
Tip: Wipe the tip of the applicator before you start applying and use less product. Trust me, less is more here! It’s a lot easier to build up product than to have to remove it and then start all over again.
