Hot Honey Almond Milk Latte
If you’re looking for a yummy twist on your daily cup of coffee, try this hot honey almond milk latte recipe! Not only does this beverage taste great and give you an energy boost, it’s simple to prepare with just 5 ingredients. If you love coffee like I do, this is a must-try recipe!
Almond milk is light in flavor, so many people find it more enjoyable than other plant-based milk options on the market today. It can be used as an alternative to dairy milk, so if you are a frequent Starbucks lover, you’ll find it in coffee, like this recipe here or baking and oatmeal recipes.
You can make almond milk by soaking, grinding, and straining raw almonds, however this does take some time, but it is really easy! If you buy Almond Milk commercially, a lot of the versions on the market might add nutrients, such as calcium, riboflavin, vitamin E, and vitamin D, to boost the milk’s nutritional content.
If you can’t tolerate dairy (cow’s milk) then this is a great alternative and the taste is very satisfying.
Almond Milk Benefits For Your Health
If you are concerned about acne, almond milk may offer a possible alternative that can help clear your skin. That’s because many varieties of almond milk are excellent sources of vitamin E.
Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant that may help to clear cell-damaging free radicals in the body, which may damage your skin.

Almond Milk & Vitamins
You know, I love my skincare routine so if you start to pay attention to the tags of a few of your lotions or face creams, you might find some contain vitamin E. Almond milk contains vitamin E, D and Calcium.
Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant that may help to clear cell-damaging free radicals in the body, which may damage your skin.
Vitamin D is an important nutrient for many aspects of health, including heart function, bone strength, and immune function.
Calcium is known for the growth and maintenance of strong bones and healthy blood pressure levels. It may also help to reduce your risk of fractures and osteoporosis. It’s worthy to note, that dairy milk is a key source of calcium in many people’s diets, may contribute to the development of acne in adults and kids.
I have had my fair share of friends reach out to me, especially when their son or daughter has been experiencing larger than life acne outbreaks. One of the first lines of defense is removing dairy products. Typically, while removing dairy, I will ask them to incorporate a charcoal bar or charcoal mask to help pull the impurities out of their skin and to receive skin cell turnover, while clearing the pores so dirt and bacteria don’t get trapped which creates breakouts. If you are experiencing maskne as well, I wrote a blog post here. Please make sure to clean your makeup brushes as well. SO many times they can be full of bacteria, which aid in breakouts.
Ways to eat almond milk
Almond milk is popular in pancakes, pies, smoothies, and muffins, but it also works well in savory dishes. You could splash it over your cereal or granola, adding it to your hot cereals, overnight oats and porridges, using it as a non-dairy creamer for your coffee, replacing the cream in cream-based soups, replacing the dairy in your favorite creamy sauces and gravies, as a milk or cream! The options are endless!
1 cup almond milk
1-2 Tablespoons honey (depends on sweetness level you like - you could also use maple syrup)
tiny pinch of salt
1/2 cup of strongly brewed coffee
dash of cinnamon, optional
Directions:
Pour your almond milk, honey and salt into a glass cover container or jar. Microwave or heat up in saucepan until very hot.
Put a cap on the container and shake until foamy and delicious.
Pour your milky mixture into a mug, add your coffee and sprinkle with cinnamon.
